Hi, I'm Kaleo-

I write about the nature of mind and consciousness; the future of humanity and life on earth; what it means to live a good human life; how to be a good human ancestor; pathways to relative and ultimate freedom; histories and comparisons between Indigenous and settler colonial societies; cosmologies and philosophies of the East and West; Indigenous wisdom and sovereignty; the rise and fall of liberal democracies; climate solutions and the transition to a sustainable economy; the value of capitalism vs. its discontents; the promise of technology vs. its limitations; and other key topics for our moment in the arch of human history.

In terms of my qualifications, I have a fancy degree from a big university and have had a number of fancy jobs for a few great companies, but most of what I've learned in my life has come from reading lots of books, having profound conversations with exceptional people, spending quality time in Nature and meditating quietly in stillness.

 

I owe my love of learning and Truth to my Dad, Mom and the many other teachers who have stewarded my curiosity throughout my lifetime.
